We welcome back the Durante Group; they will be playing the Champions Course. The Thompson Group is playing the Champions Course on Friday the 31st.
The Golftech Connection Tournament is a great tournament that we would like to welcome back. This is a field of 90-100 players with practice rounds on the 31st and the actual tournament on November 1st and 2nd. On Saturday, Nov. 1st, we have an 8:30am shotgun start on our Champions Course. On Sunday, Nov. 2nd, an 8:30am shotgun will start on our Legends Course. We have players traveling from all over the country to play in this great event!
Please contact me to find out about our great group rates for the fall. Keep in mind we don’t over seed until December, so our courses are in great shape this fall and we all know the weather is perfect!

golf tip
from Mary Hafeman
PGA & LPGA Director of Golf Operations
Wow, we sure did get a taste of winter this week! Cold weather…how does a golfer get ready for playing in cold weather?
Cold weather really dictates that a golfer warms up and stretches more than normal before the round of golf. I would suggest you stretch out the back muscles especially, so you can make a full turn. Dress for the occasion, staying warm is the objective. A good rain suit can provide mobility and warmth. When you are wearing extra layers of clothing, the swing will tend to shorten. In addition, the golf ball is cold, so in combination, the player must take more clubs to reach the desired distance.
Weather does have an influence on a player, but if you are prepared, your game will not suffer!
Have fun playing!
Just a reminder, we’re welcoming back Beverley Davis, former LPGA tour player and current LPGA Teaching Professional. She is back with us for our winter season. Beverley will be conducting weekly clinics, golf schools and private lessons. You can reach Beverley through the LPGA golf shop at 274-5742. Beverley is also an expert in club fitting. She will work with you to reach your goals in your swing plus help you find the best equipment to fit your game within your budget! Give her a call …she’s excited to help you achieve your goals!

Golf Defined
Golf can best be defined as an endless series of tragedies, obscured by the occasional miracle.
"I wish I could play my normal game....just once."
Golf is harder than baseball, in golf you have to play your foul balls.
If you do find that you do not mind playing golf in the rain, the snow, even during a hurricane, here's a valuable tip: Your life is in trouble.
Golfers who try to make everything perfect before taking the shot, rarely make the perfect shot.
The term "mulligan" is really a contraction of the phrase "maul-it-again."
A "gimme" can best be defined as an agreement between two golfers...neither of whom can putt very well.
An interesting thing about golf is that no matter how badly you play, it's always possible to get worse.
Golf's a hard game to figure. One day you'll go out and slice it and shank it, hit into all the traps and miss every green. The next day you go out and for no reason at all you really stink.
