knickers bar & grill

Hello from Lorraine. Welcome back to Knickers Bar and Grill - a great spot to enjoy lunch daily, dinner Thursday, Friday and Saturday and breakfast on Saturday and Sunday.  We are pleased to feature two great wines this month from Sebastiani Vineyards, the oldest continuously family owned winery in Sonoma.  The history of Sebastiani dates back to 1825.  Our new wine list offers both the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir by the glass and the bottle.  The Chardonnay is well balanced with hints of golden apple and pink grapefruit that finishes with vanilla and praline flavors, and the Pinot Noir has finesse and finishes with lively acidity, firm tannins and well-integrated oak.   These are perfect wines to pair with one of Chef Jesse’s lunch or dinner dishes.  If you call ahead for reservations and mention the wine, we would be happy to have a bottle ready for you at your table.

Friday night’s Prime Rib continues to be a popular request for diners.  It is slow roasted to perfection and accompanied by a house salad, baked potato and seasonal vegetable du jour all for $18.95.

Don’t forget to mark your calendars for upcoming events.  We look forward to seeing you at Knickers soon.

golf tip

One common question among golfers is "How do I build consistency in a golf swing?"

My response to the golfer is "what is your pre-shot routine?"

Watch the LPGA or PGA tour players on TV each week.  Each one of them has a personal routine that they follow to set themselves up for their shot. They develop consistency in ball striking because they are creating a positive pre-shot routine each time they address the ball.  It does not matter what your handicap is if you learn to implement the same pre-shot routine each time you address the ball, your results will improve with time.

For more information and instruction, sign up for one of our weekly clinics or come in to speak to one of our LPGA or PGA professionals we will be more than happy to help you learn how to improve your game!

Golf Partner

A fellow comes home after his regular Saturday golf game and his wife asks why he doesn't include Tom O'Brien in the games anymore.

The husband asks, "Would you want to play with a guy who regularly cheats, swears up a storm over everything, lies about his score, and has nothing good to say about anyone else on the course?"

"Of course I wouldn't," replies the wife.

"Well," says the husband, "neither would Tom O'Brien."
